Got yesterday this nice CD-man from UNISEF

original in box with styrofoam

including all adds from 1989

the foil is still on the display.
only a bit dusty

whoaaaa, that monster chews 10 (!!) batteries

think it´s a keeper

Early disc player needed a lot of juice to drive the motor and power what at the time was a highly inefficient laser. Even still with the 10AA's you can't bet there won't be a lot of playtime, hence why most came with outboard rechargeable packs in that era.
