Well it's not presentable yet but I took a snap of my latest.

Big ups to Alfie, who went and picked the box up from his hood after I spotted it on Gumtree and kindly packed it so it was bombproof and sent it up north to me! He truly is a gentleman!

It's got more paint on it than a french street walker but I'm slowly getting it off. Deck won't open and right channel is out. I was going to have a crack at it this weekend but the Mrs has "needs" apparently, whatever they are, so maybe next weekend.

These really have the classic Boombox look.

QUESTION: Is this the only model Vinix made? It's the one I always see.

I wouldn't mind having one on the shelf :-D

I think you mean Terry.



Pretty sure there are a few different Vinix boxes, I think this one is the most common.

all the Vini ( is that plural for vinix ?? ) :-D :lol:

i have ever seen are slight variations of this same model --
all are extremely desirable
and a MUST HAVE for us serious collectors

like WHO HERE will step up to admit they are vinixless ?

Good luck with the restoration. I bet you're really looking forward to seeing inside that beauty.

It looks a nice, compact unit when comparing the size of the tape deck door and the speakers - certainly feature packed! ;-)

I to am Vin-less. I had the chance to see one in person earlier this year at the west coast meet at my place. I forgot who brought it. Its a real little tank. But sadly it wasn't working so I didn't get to hear it. Sure would look good on the shelf next to my other small silver boomers.
