Hello
Yesterday I plug my M70 to listen to a tape and.............no more sound !!

on radio the same : sound is heard like very very low level

can somebody help ?

I'm so upset.....

it powers on and everything is working, but no sound..........

I could cry right now....

any suggestions on what has happened ?!

thanks

A few thinks to try:

1. Try it via the headphone and line out modes.
2. Maybe switch cleaner is required for the function switch.
3. Any chance the voltage selector was accidentally changed to the wrong voltage (assuming it has a selector).

I worked on an M70 recently with exactly the same basic symptoms as a result of an over voltage incident. It had blown amp chips causing no sound. Replacing the chips rectified the problem. This is a long shot in your case though.

My guess is the function switch but the M70 experts will probably have better advice.

Good luck,

James.... :-)

Try wiggling the function switch. See if you get and crackling. Turn up the volume half way when you do it

I agree... that's what my problem was, if that does it you'll want to open it up and deoxit a little bit. Mines great now.
