I'm pretty much a FedEx user exclusively for sending and so far with the good packing I try to do I haven't had one shipment damaged.
For receiving shipments it's mixed between UPS, FedEx, The US post office and even a few DHL (not sure what they are called now) and so far only UPS has damaged anything. The damage as a result of incredibly poor packaging I'm not counting against the shipper.

Never had a problem with FedEx. Had a couple of "mishaps" with UPS, but both were the result of terrible packing. Yes, UPS can be rough of boxes, but good packing will compensate for that every time!

Honorable mention: I've had DHL shipments get to me (in Michigan) from Canada in ONE DAY! :w00t:

USPS (United States Postal Service) and UPS (Under Paid Slaves) are the only ones I have used.

UPS trashed my TRC-920, but again it was poor packing and I think they have an elephant sitting on boxes at the end of the conveyor belt.

Chris I once worked for UPS for 1 day unloading the trailers and I can tell you the pressure is on to kick ass so you don't care what happens to the boxes. They expected me to unload one of those big semi trailers with the extra deep false floors at a rate of 1 trailer per hour, that's doable but you have to move very quickly. I can tell you that a lot of boxes fall off the steel roller conveyor as your flinging them, this is one reason I don't use UPS if at all possible. When I do have to use UPS I make sure the item is packed very well and even double boxed where possible.

I don't doubt it. These companies today beat up the employee to maximize the profit. It's a real shame that we have given these companies this much power in the world.

Monchito sent me something via UPS and no problem. Though it was small no issue. That was for the LPC-81. Now for the 767 I got from FED-EX I have been fed up!!! Backing was all cracked and I was pissed. Dude is giving me a hard way about it too. If I wasn't a cop I'd a paid a visit to this guy in "WISE GUY" fashion!!! Know what I mean? He packed it kinda lame and I wanted to treat the sender in the same manner!! It's a matter of preference I guess. If your sending please use as much bubble wrap as Lopez showed me. It was worth it. And who ever is sending you something tell them the same thing!!

Packing is 95% of the equation really, if a box is packed with newspaper and or in a box that's to small I can't fault any shipper. In this case the issue is all with the seller and there crappy packing.

Funny I worked for UPS for over 10 years first 6 as part time package pusher and 4 years plus as package truck driver  and believe you/me it s-cked the whole time because they push you past the point where you actually have to mishandle packages :sadno:  I also bet all others do this as well :annoyed: that is why UPS gives insurance free up to $100 on each package shipped ;-)

Plus :agree: If wrapped real good less breakage would happen ;-)
