Update as of 10/1/13: So... bad news, this is why we didn't want to jump to telling all our family, and I'm sorry if this brings any of you down.
Last Friday, 9/27, my wife had to terminate the pregnancy.
She went in to do some bloodwork, which she had been doing every couple days already, but this time after she was done and on her way home, she got another call, that she needs an ultrasound as soon as possible. We had just had lunch. She say's their is something they don't like about the bloodwork. Has the ultrasound, and they tell her she is having an "Ectopic pregnancy," which means the baby is being born, outside the uterus, in her case, the left Fallopian tube. She had to go to the ER, where I drove down to be with her, to "terminate" the pregnancy, otherwise run the minimum risk of losing a tube and baby, with the maximum risk, of losing them both.
It was a rough weekend, she was supposed to work Sat,Sun,Mon, but took them off, I worked Monday, which was near impossible to stand, I didn't say hardly a word to anyone all day, and took today off for Ashley, she's been in a lot of physical pain as well.
Chances are, we probably can't even try again for 3 months minimum. I wasn't sure whether to mention this to you all, as I didn't want to be a downer, but you're all cool, I didn't want the chance of everyone asking, "so how's the baby coming along" only to tell them this and have them feel bad for asking.
Thank you all for your kind comments, they all gave me a lot of happiness to look forward to, which I still will, and I'll probably let you know again if she gets pregnant down the road, but maybe I'll make sure it's a little better and farther along first.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So my wife gave these to me today, they'll be my first pair. If all goes well they'll be put to use in the near future.
