eric --you are an extreme cool dude --
frank sinatra could have learned from you :-)

----------------------------------------------

i know for 100% sure --that he was flat out lying -

that turd has seen 100s of REAL 'blue' jvc woofs --
and he KNEW that that crappy cartoon color had NOTHING to do
with any JVC factory--
that --plus he prolly knew about every other internal problem-

IF he does not treat you right -
even though you are asking for nothing --
this will $$$ cost him plenty

Well, I can never know for sure what he knew or knows, all I DO know is that I thought they were factory blue, and attributed the prightness to them being in excellent shape.
Regarding staying cool? I try to not get worked up easily. It's hard, and I might get pissed for a few mins, but that energy is best spend constructively. Right now my boombox-related focus is on my golden M71 which, is currently in many, many pieces hehe :-P . I have not heard back from the plater, most likely due to the season, so I'll have to wait until January for that discussion with him. I've been stripping the paint off the front case to prep for bondo in some areas.
Did you know: under that beautiful champagne colour lies silver? I used Acetone and the champagne pretty much lept off the surface, but revealed silver underneith! I will ofcourse be repainting in champaigne, but I thought it to be a cool fact.

I want you all to know that I appreciate your words, and emotions, and the sense of community you all bring to this forum. When one of us gets a bad deal, we all suffer as a community. But, it will also make us all stronger as a community as we learn what to do better the next time.
I'm happy to be in a forum like this, and happy to know each and every one of you guys.
eric
