Well, It's been months since I got the car out for a spin, so I thought I would tie in my other love!
It was such a beautiful day today here in California, not a cloud in the sky, 78 degrees! Add in a few Boomboxes and a red sports car and it makes for a real nice day!
So I grabbed a few radios that haven't gotten much face time lately, the Lasonic TRC-918 and the GPX-990 Louder Blaster Project. Of course two of my all time fav's the SCR-8 and the new Toshiba RT 9990SM I recently added (I love that box).
You might be thinking...."Gee, I wonder what kind of radio Chris has in the Ferrari? Is it some over the top modern touch screen?"
NOPE, it's a 1983 Alpine cassette with digital tuner. Although non of the 308's ever came from the factory with a stereo, this one is correct for the period.
(Side Note: Ferrari shipped all the 308's with door speakers and a power antenna but no stereo, just a plastic 'knock out' where the stereo goes, Enzo wanted people to enjoy the sound of the engine, not the stereo!)
