So my wife and I were out today hitting the thrift stores in Ventura (I can't say which ones or Peter AKA Fresh Produce will start hitting them
) and I found this clean Sears SR 2100.
This thing is SPOTLESS, fully complete and working. Plays tapes, rewinds, fast forward. It features a battery light, stereo light and a 10 LED single level meter. The antenna is straight, battery door is there and compartment is clean.
The only drag is, there is no line in, but for a working cassette deck, this is the perfect beach radio.
But most of all, this thing sounds surprisingly good, WAY better than I would have expected for such a small radio.
Roughly the same size as the the GE 3-5286A
You know what's cool....the lady at the counter tells me, "So your the lucky one huh?" I said "Excuse me". She says "I get people in here all the time asking for these radio's. They don't come up very often and I had a guy in here begging me to take his number and call him if any radio's come in, he was a collector" she says....Was that you Peter?
Another guy walks up who works there and says "Damn, I was hoping to buy that, but they have a store policy that something has to be there for a certain amount of time before employee's can buy items from the store". On the way out the door he asked to get a picture of the radio.
Ya gotta love it.
