Just got off the phone with a friend of mine back in NYC and he dj's clubs and parties pretty often. He told me of one he has coming up(hopefully my brief trip happens and I can attend). He said it is an old school NYC theme party and what's really cool is he said that the people who hired him are either working for or are themselves boomer junkies. The party is at a large loft and the soundsystem(other than his rig) will consist of about 20-25 large classic boxes daisy chained wirelessly. I asked how that is done and he said he saw one of these used in a similar way.

I don't have nearly enough boomers to make this worthwhile(still waiting on # 2 in the mail...besides my 935, I do also have a sony xplod, somehow, I don't count that), but this seems like it would be amazing to have a room full of classic boomers all pounding out the same thing. I would be too much of a dork to fully enjoy the party...I'd be comparing the various boxes.

Anyway, he said he has been to one of the guys throwing its apts and he had some heavy hitters(777, c-100, m-90, trc-975's,) so just the thought of all these side areas off the dancefloors being powered by these amazing boxes. He said the guys promised"boomers in the bathrooms"...**** sounds nuts

yeah, It should be nuts. Still, before I was told about this earlier today, I had already been getting ready to use a 1/8" splitter out of my ipod into two seperate 1/8" to rca's so I can get both my boxes going at once. I don't know why I want to do this...just seems like fun. It's really funny because I hadn't even bid on my second box when I started thinking of this stuff.
