Ok tapes are only $0.50 but still, I should get what I paid for!
The first time was at a Goodwill almost 2 hours away, I picked up a Dire Straits tape (didn't open it)..
When I got it home to pop it in the box, it was a damn Tiffany tape!! :bang:
So I learned after that experience... but today, I pick up a Blondie tape at the local Goodwill..(open it up and see an original Blondie tape) Get it home and pop it in the box, and someone recorded Boston over it! (Still good, but not what I paid for)

Lesson learned, I'm gonna have to carry my RCA walkman into Goodwill with me from now on.. :dunce:

Don't forget to pay for the walkman when you walk out of the store.
  He would be carrying his walkman in - not using one at the store. ;-)

  I know. But I bet it looks just like the ones for sale AT the store. So except for a little red dot sticker, what's the difference? :hmmm: :-D

Considering all the walkmans I ever see are GPX, RCA, or Emerson, I can see that happening now that you mention it.

Looks like everything is working out! I found another Dire Straits tape at the local Goodwill, this time it had the real tape inside!
Also, got an unopened pack of 2) Maxell XLII's for 50 cents, a TDK SA90, and a Sir Mix-a-lot tape! (all at different thrifts)

Wow sweet score! Your lucky, those tapes are .99 cents at our GW's :dunce: and most of the GW don't even have them no-mo

Depending on which Blondie tape it is.... you can send it to me and I'll record the album for you....

It'll more than likely sound better than the original recording on that tape, anyway.) But postage will cost more than what you have invesed in the tape... LOL!

I have a couple of copies of that dire straights tape. When cassettes turn up at my local thrifts they are either 0.50c or 3 for a dollar. CDs are all 1 dollar each, LP's are $3.00.

yeah stupid prices for the LP's considering they have lots of scratched ones. I've had a few "scores" there, but the Saturday morning girl (blue wife beater, black jeans, buzzcut and tatts) seems to like me and everything I bring to the counter is discounted 50%.

Yesterday was 9 CD's for $5.00. some of them were doubles.

Got another tape from Goodwill yesterday, was a lil excited when I looked down and seen it! Had the CD back in 93, but don't think I had the tape..

I like how instead of side A & B, it has E Side and G Side..

Wow, someone would actually record on top of a pre-recorded tape instead of using a blank? Talk about cheapskate.
