Does anyone else know of a place where they alert in all the printed media ,Television and radio when they will be conducting Police spot checks? In Puerto Rico they do.How stupid is this they will tell you when surprise road blocks will be surprising you?

El teniente Delvin Cardona Pérez, director de la Estación "C" de Aguadilla, informó que la PolicÃa llevará a cabo varios bloqueos de carreteras este fin de semana.
Translation.
.Lt.Delvin Cardona director of station C of Aguadilla informed that the Police will be blocking off several roads this weekend.
Cardona Pérez indicó que los bloqueos comenzarán a las 7 de la noche de mañana, sábado, hasta las 3 de la
madrugada del domingo.

Cardona Perez informed that the road blocks will be between the hours of 7 pm saturday 26th till 3 am sunday 27th.
"Es nuestro empeño evitar que ocurran accidentes fatales, detectar conductores que manejen en estado de embriaguez y otras sustancias, asà como otras violaciones a la Ley 22 de Transito, por lo que pedimos la colaboración de toda la ciudadanÃa para efectuar el bloqueo sin mayores inconvenientes", señaló el oficial en comunicación escrita.

It is our intention to avoid fatal accidents,detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and other substances as well as enforce violations to law 22 of the transit code,we thus ask for the cooperation of citizens to make this as smooth as posible.

The point is to discourage people from screwing up in the first place. By letting everyone know that there are checks, hopefully someone will listen. Unfortunately, a lot don't and either get killed and/or kill someone else. 
Yup I'm with ya, I'm Aguadilla P.R. and I could imagine, I miss the Plaza and the Palterre they the Karoke. I also miss the ron con canita es delicioso, Nuestra cultura i nuestra Isla Del Encanto.
