Hey guys, we have all been out hunting in the jungle to have prey catch our eye
I was in louisville all day on the hunt, found a bunch of 90s eggs. most were $2-20

A year or two ago I would have picked up everything I could. Now I guess I have matured?
in 2008 I picked up 70 in one day most weere trashy but hey, never leave a box behind was my motto.
Anybody else have stories on leaving a box behind? or are you stuck picking them up whenever you see them. Wish I could afford to.


I passed on 4 panny eggs (single deck) and some little sonys.
found a cool little sharp tv radio with a 1" screen!!! $8
still thinking about picking that up but hmmm.

And hey presto its working
You tend to just forget the cheap crappy stuff
And then theres the speakers amps star wars stuff
Im only keeping the top of the range stuff now

I definitely leave things on the shelf I wouldn't have 4 or 5 years ago but I think that's a natural progression to collecting as you learn.
Filling up all of your free space and draining your bank account may have something to do with it too.

When you have outstanding boxes there's no point in buying lots of unremarkable ones that you never use anyway.

Yes Don,we learn and get more picky as our collection

Yes I get some upper end eggs from time to
time but now if it's any I usually give them away
as gifts or just use them as shed radios!

Only really good stuff and grails as room is a
factor for me now having 140-150 boomers!

I'm with you there Jeff, I haven't counted in a long time but If I had to guess I'd say I'm around 80 to 90 boxes including all of my 90's or newer boxes/eggs. I could probably purge 10 to 20 instantly without hardly being bothered by it, it's those random finds that we grab but don't really mean anything. In fact at my sisters last garage sale I purged 3 cheap and junky mini's that I grabbed at the thrifts for just a few dollars but probably shouldn't have.

I just picked up a cool GE 3-5939A for 5.00!
It's really cool,black with twin cassettes,5 band
EQ,line in & perfect antenna and all works!!
The ones with line-in's are kind of rare.
I don't have enough mini's!

I do have to watch it though-but I have taken
April thru October off!! Just cars for summer &
most of fall!! Have to, my cars have been slightly
neglected!

Yeah Jeff there are plenty of cool minis, the ones I got rid of were basic and broken $3 Thrift buys and I guess I just couldn't help taking them home. I still have plenty of Mini's and just like their big siblings I'm getting at the point where I can only keep the better ones.

Good luck on the cars they don't usually take to kindly to being ignored for to long.

I just really hate all eggs they are ugly and the sound s--ks I would much rather have a small Sound Design with tape deck and only 3 knobs with a couple switches Or even the early 90's square 3 pc black boxes then a crappy egg That's just my opinion

The mini's I'm talking about are definately not eggs,old school boxes.
Like I say the only eggs lately have been gifts and a couple of shed radios.
