Today afternoon i was driving around in my district by :vespa: .
One road was closed, so i had to take a little longer way.
I drove through an gate, i´ve been never before.

In the corner of my eyes i see an little shop labeled only with "ELECTRONICS" :-O
I had i little time, so i stopped and took a look inside.
It was the best i could do!

NO, i found no boombox! :nonono:
But spare parts all around! :w00t:

This is the last radio hobby shop in vienna!
This one exists about 30years, told me the dealer.

Short look at the sortiment inside the radio grocery. :-)

Radio tubes: each 30cent
Connection cables: 1euro each
Original PHILIPS boombox speakers: 2euro > pair! new!
Tweeters, switches, lamps, and many many more.

Big sortiment and small prices. :smooch:

I will go there when i have more time and check the full sortiment.
And i will ask if i can take a few pics for an short story for better imagine.

Fact: Wonders could happen!

Cool VS, these shops are a dying breed.
 I'm not aware of any left in my area. The shops I used to go to have all closed in the last 10 years.

We had a lot of those stores a few years ago.
But they died nearly all.

There are only CONRAD electronics and TECHNOTRONIC , but this are Megastores.
Like a compair of a grocery with an XXL-Supermarket.

Today i was there again (needed some batteries) and took pics. :angelic:
So here we go:

The unspektacular front of the shop:

Need speakers? No problem.
On the board most are for car hifi and homestereo.
On the wall board those for the boomboxes and also headsets:

Standing in the middle of the shop.
It´s twice as big as you can see here.
On the other side are other electronics.
Discolites, TV-parts, tapeparts, recordplayerstuff and more. :w00t:

Around the corner there is an second shop, selling restored electronics.
But no boomboxes and the prices are very high...

Hope you like it.
And i need more time to check the sortiment. ;-)

And a friend told me at the northend of vienna should exist an second radioshop that survived.
I think i will check it out soon....

Interesting....There's a shop in Tampa, Florida named "Practical Electronics" that specializes in just parts. They have circuit boards, kits, racks of capacitors, resistors, all sorts of switches, leds, etc. etc. They also sell soldering equipment.Curiously enough the shop hasn't diversified into anything computer related. It really is like going back in time.
