I am putting the last details on these two radios....and they both include new straps from Blu_Fuz (Thanks again Joe).
I think I have a total of 5 straps now....A black and green one for the Victor RC-838. I have one for the Realistic SCR-8. I have a spare black one for a JVC, so I have a sweet excuse to buy a JVC!
AND now I have these two in RED!
These two projects are almost complete...
The Eddie Van Halen M70 has just a few last details. Our esteemed member BMoney is hooking me up with a nice M70 top panel that is also from Japan to replace the super warn out panel I have. It looks like the bass slider will have to be rebuilt. I think I'll be doing a small addition in the form of blu tooth and then that's it. She will be 100% done!
The Toshiba BomBeat S84 finally got some face time. I pulled the back of the case off and was surprised on how clean it was. The cleanest of any of the radio's that came from Japan (so far anyways). It got a good cleaning inside and out. It has two very easy decks to work on. I have to order belts for both decks. One thing that is nice about this blaster is the radio goes to 108fm!
This radio cleaned up much better than I expected. I think I might upgrade the tweeters from those Piezo's that are in there.
I'm also thinking about painting it red as well to match my car. Maybe take it to cars shows. So that's why I got a red strap for this one too! It's nice to have some color! Plus it would go good with the red LED's.
It also looks good in the collection!
