Like any other man...and president...he had his issues. But as a whole, which is all we can ask for from any individual, class all the way. :-)

That time period had a lot more class than today.
That is right Chris! I own his favorite radio.
It is a SABA radio from germany!

I have the same model in my collection.Once you listen to that radio we will not play our boomboxes for a while. The sound is AWESOME!

Damn, I passed up one of these at a garage sale, the guy wanted $500 :jawdrop: :'-( :-/
I recapped the whole radio. Also changed a few bad tubes. It is in like new condition now. You can get all replacements for tubes and also capacitors.

He wanted to abolish the CIA, the FBI, the CFR, the Federal Reserve, and the Trilateral Commission. God bless him. R.I.P., Jack.

I watched a great show on the National Geographic Channel called JFK: THE LOST BULLET. I found it on DirecTV in the VOD Video On Demand section. As far as I am concerned, they answered the question of who shot him, where the bullet's came from and where they ended up. One hell of a film!

There was an ex-Cuban intelligence officer who says that a few hours before the shooting, he was ordered to point his antennas towards Texas instead of Florida. After all the bullshit we tried to pull in Cuba, I wouldn't doubt they paid off some hitmen.

There's a really good article on JFK's presidency in this months issue of Rolling Stone, written by his brother Bobby's oldest son. ;-)

I pretty much agree with oldskool69. He would probably be considered mildly conservative these days. Notorious womanizer (everybody has a weakness), connected to criminal elements (his dad the rum runner) . Oustanding military service during WWII. Big mistake though not authorizing air support at The Bay of Pigs. Cuba stuck with Castro all those years.

Check out a speech he gave in 1962 at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in N.Y.C. Try to link up with the transcript so you can really concentrate in what he is saying.

There's one line that should have open peoples mind "We must warned our fellow Americans"!!

I truly believe he was killed because of this speech, he opened a can of worms, but nobody listen or follow through in what he meant.

From the Warren commission to having the limo cleaned 10 mins. upon arrival at the hospital and still to this day one gunman killed JFK. BULLSHITT!!!!

He was a man with good intentions and loved this country, those that gave the decision in having him killed may god forgive you!

That was the turning point for America!!

To this day if you noticed all the presidents after JFK would repeat speeches that JFK gave during his presidency. JFK had left many legislative undone, but were implemented by other presidents which gave them points in their presidency. JFK was far ahead for his time.

I never got to meet him unfortunately I was born that year and on the same month he was murdered.

R.I.P. JFK!

Someday the truth will come out.

jfk is an example of what would happen to an honest politician , i would love to live in a world with a guy like him running things , he might not have been perfect but who is ?, at least he cared enough to try to honestly change things for the better and call out the people nobody else had the guts to call out.

If you guys mean this speech, I don't see anything unusual in it. It seems like he's talking about the Soviet Union, and how they keep everything secret, and that we must resist being like them. He was talking to a group of journalists, telling them that in this country it's OK for them to question the government.
