The $50 JVC M90 aka Bodgecity

The Story:

Client brings in this boombox and i took it on as a pet project. not a hurry but he doesn't want to spend much. he said he the right speakers out and mainly wants that to be fixed.​

I take it in and do some basic checks on it. It powers up and can take a signal in from line out for some reason. I open it up and it looks crazy on the inside. rust and wires galore.
All the speakers check out fine so it has to be logic board stuff.

I haven't done one yet, but the insides of a M90 look pretty easy to work on.. very spaced out and accessible... I've just started on a RC838.. now that's pretty packed in...

The exterior is an absolute mess.
The fusible resistor is cooked but otherwise this looks pretty good inside.
