TDK 3 Speaker

Has anyone ever taken one a part and put back together. Is is that possible. I have one that's dead. I took out each speaker and drilled out a hole for the wire and hooked up a in dash unit I had lying around. Sounds nice, but I would to mount it inside

Yo! blu_fuz. Thanx it works the same on the TDK 3. I took it apart and made my cut outs. and put back together. I'm getting there.

Here is a sample of how it sound. I still have more work to do. Starting with a new head Unit. This one sucks but needed for cut out. More work to do on the back. Looking to add lighted vu meters. More details on everything when finish. Stay tune

BoomBox Project Completed
TDK Boombox died and I was not ready to let it go. So I installed a Pioneer DEH- X3700S Car Head Unit inside the TDK 3. It has AM/FM CD Aux USB and it controls a iPod iPad and iPhone. A Carssette Walkman Velcroed on the back, a Lasonic Antena And it has a Remote. The rear out put on this unit can be used for a Subwoofer. And has subwoofer control. So it's perfect for this set up. This bad boy Rocks. Power Supply is a 12 volt Power Sport Battery. or Computer Power Supply.

Do you think to put a custom back cover to hide all cables???

Yes I have a few covers I'm working on here's one
