The A73 looks to be a smaller unit with smaller drivers (5.25 inch v 6.00 inch). The sub idea is cool but the reviews I've read aren't too good (6/10). It's a pity TDK didn't hold back some 3 speaker stock for all the warranty jobs.baddboybill said:Well I tried reformatting USB flash drive and its a no go. So port must be dead. Anyone know how the new TDK A73 is compared to the 3 speaker?
Bad Bad Bill
If it's made in China, it's TRASH! Companies only care about the bottom line, not quality, not customer satisfaction...JUST GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!jimmyjimmy19702010 said:The A73 looks to be a smaller unit with smaller drivers (5.25 inch v 6.00 inch). Out of warranty equals: No repairs from TDK. "Throw it away a buy another one" they recommend.
My mother and sister both purchased digital radios just over a year ago and with gentle use, both radios are now headed for landfill.
Part of my job is to deliver set top boxes for a local pay TV operator. Half of my daily deliveries are replacement units to replace the DOA units I delivered the week before!
Will we ever see new products that are built to outlast the warranty period?

TDK Speaker Bricked
• Power off, remove power, and remove any USB media.
• Connect power; hold the OK button, power on. The Boombox may appear dead, but it's not.
• Keep holding the OK button for 15 seconds. Release. Press OK. Wait one second. Press OK again.
• Wait another 15 seconds.
• Power off.
• Insert USB media with firmware.
• Power on.
• Firmware will now install.
• If this did not work initially, please make an important change: use a different thumb drive.
• Download firmware.
• Insert thumb drive, quick format as FAT32 with a Windows based computer, with default allocation units, naming the drive TDKFLASH. Remember, nothing else but the firmware needs to be in the flash drive.
• Copy firmware to empty thumb drive and eject.
• With the new format from Windows, this should work.
That sounds hopeful...blu_fuz said:So...... I have a TDK 3 speaker, now I'm wondering how much time I have left on mine!
