Tape 'B' door - how does it hold on and swing?

Hi good people,

The cassette door on the upper deck has gone and fallen off!
Does anyone have a pic of how it attaches and what makes it swing up and down.
There is no spring mechanism that I can see.
Hope you can help me get it reattached.

If its anything like a lasonic it has a metal bar that holds the door in place with a coil spring wrapped around that one side of the spring is anchored to the front case and the other against the door flap.

Thanks for the reply I shall have a look around for a coil spring that will suit.

The spring is very weak but if it puts too much pressure it will make the tape not want to eject properly. It only needs enough tension to hold it tight to the front case.
