Hey guys, I'm pretty new to collecting and am hopeless at the tech side of things so some help would be appreciated!!!! On my Gf777 i'm getting very, very low volume on the lefthand side (virtually none at full volume), however the right side is fine. On my VZ2000 i've got the same problem but on both channels. Is there an easy fix or am I in for major surgery? Any thoughts would be much appreciated......................................Peace>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If a good thorough cleaning of the controls do not restore sound, then it's probably something much more serious. Start by cleaning all the controls, especially the function and record bar switch.

Before you go through all that work -- suggest you verfiy/confirm that the amp is the issue.

Take a line-out signal and play it back through another machine. If both channels are playing back good, then chances are good that the issue is in the amp module. IF the same symptoms present through the other machine -- then the issue is FORE of the amp and will not likely be resolved through an amp change.

Hi guys, just tried the gf777 through my sanyo mk9994 via the line out and it came through perfectly on both channels so i'm thinking it sounds like an amp issue from the info you guys are giving me. If you're happy to do a deal Floyd i'd be very keen on the amp board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again guys............................
