I would like to sat that after organising a mixed tape swap on S2GO About three million years ago now Jaetee sent tapes way down to this little old island in the sun and I was a slack arse and didnt return mine despite the fact that they are recorded and in my man cave sitting on top of my Sanyo M9998. So sorry Jaetee this last year has been quite bad . And nearlly threw in my hobby. My buiseness nearly went tits up thanks to the recession and am now in the process of selling and down sizing our house to survive. Havent had the best frame of mind with anything in the last year but have just won several large air con contracts that will see me to the end of this year{miracles do happen} Once this house sells and we move I plan on getting back to this hobby with a vengence as there are nothing but good people here and i really miss it . Sorry for bleating on guys but the fact that I have been useless bugs the hell out of me and needed to apologise. Sold about three quarters of my collection as well. Not even the recession could make me part with my 935 LASONIC,SANYO 9998,SHARP9292 and9191 [brought from rambo estrada] LASONIC i931 [Modded those dam cabinet dividers]
Anyway hope everyone else surviving Ok

Hi Nigel,

Thanks for the over-the-top apology... It really wasn't necessary. You told me you'd do this when you get your affairs in order. Send them when you can... I know you are a man of your word. Take some comfort in knowing that you are not the only one out there who didn't send tapes yet... The earth will not spiral down into the sun over this. :-D

Sorry to hear about your challenges. I hope 2010 turns out to be a postive year for you.

Yeah I know it was quite the apology but it really did bug me.!!! Thanks for the kind words guys I felt that I needed to say that because you guys reply like you have . Wish there was more kindness like this in the world. Either way having won some largish contracts has spread some light into the tunnel. Looking forward to buying a new house with a kick arse garage and getting back on the boombox hunt. Thanks guys will post something on topic soon. :-D

Seriously, though.... good luck with the new contracts and possibly the new house...

But, if you can make it work where you are living now..., there's nothing wrong with banking every penny you can and saving for the future. Maybe pick up a new grail or two along the way to satisfy the spending-lust.

From a person who has moved way to many times in his life, I can tell you that with a new house, come new debts and many new unexpected expenditures... Especially in what is looking like a worldwide recession these days. You can spend your way to broke again real quick... :-/ Not trying to tell you what to do, just sharing some experience.

I hear you buddy. We brought this house three years ago when buiseness was booming and the property market was as well therefore paying waaaaaaaaay to much for it and over doubling the mortgage hense the sell off to go back to a smaller size house. We just had the auction the other day and unfortunatlly there was only one serious bidder and he was a bit short so we have to sit tight. Luckily it has been way dry on the boomboxes for sale down here and not much to miss out on. The only excitment {for others} was me selling a few of mine haha. :hmmm:
