So i just went through my photos and realized that I may need to go see someone...... to help me put all these things back together. And please do not try these things at home.

Things started to go downhill when someone gifted me a somewhat functional Sony STR-6050 made in 1969. I am not a fan of anything Sony, other than some of their weird rugged vintage TVs and MDR-7560 can's that I've used for 18 years for DJing.

Sorry, order is weird, but you get the idea.

Funny thing, everything you see here totals to a little less than $1200.

Akai, Marantz and Mitsubishi are my favourites from your collection.
Congrats and keep it up!

Thank you!

Akai I snagged for $50 at a recycling center. They laughed at me for buying a "pile of junk". It worked like a champ. Every single button, switch and a knob worked like it was new, except for the lights. I should replace pinch rollers on it, but I cant find any. It worked flawlessly for about 6 months but then started playing at double the speed. New belts did not help. There is a thread somewhere that says it may be a capacitor or a transistor on the servo board, but I have no idea how to test it without major surgery.

Mitsubishi is another $50 score off of OfferUp. Dude had it listed for $150 for almost a year. I offered $50 and he happily let it go. It powers on, vinyl spins, but the tone arm is dangling and needs to be re-attached. Needs new belts and pinch roller as well.

Marantz 4270 needs a complete restore. It sat in someone's garage for 25 years without the cabinet on it. After everything is said and done, it will probably cost me the same as they go on eBay for, but should keep me away from buying anything else meanwhile. Seller wanted $450. I offered $200. After about a week he contacted me and said that no one would even bother making an offer after looking at it. So will see what I got myself into. Replacement caps, transistors, etc. are $240 for a full kit. Brand new walnut cabinet will run me another $250. And im pretty sure I will break something in the process haha

But what I am *really* after is a Sony Jackal300, but not at the obscene prices they go on eBay for.

I have two of those Akai GXC 570D. I love it. The got brushless motors and sound the best with feather touch controls. I did a complete LED upgrade and replaced the belts.

Wow. Beautiful collection and I understand your "problem" as I have the same bug. I love the Marantz receiver. I had a 2285B years ago and regret selling it. Keep up the collecting!
Same here, 85 Marantz watts rms per channel , shake the house.. I miss mine too.
