The Sony WM-10 Walkman was my first love of the Walkman. I love all models styled after this model. Here are some of mine.

I love the look of the dedicated display cases for some of your collection, how did to manage the 'suspended' effect when mounting for display in these cases? A work of art indeed.

Really wonderful! Those displays with the "floating" walkmans are pure magic. I would also like to know how that is accomplished.

Are all of them functional?

Thanks. For the 'floating' ones I just used 3m double sided mounting tape. That stuff that you have to stretch to pull off the wall. It comes off cleanly if you pull/stretch it.

I bought 604 around 1988/89. I love the ex amorphous head. 604 uses only one Small battery and last long. When the battery was low on cassette, I can still listen to radio for quite many hours.

I listen to it with a pair of Sony 484 headphone. The 484 has LC-ofc cable and diamond amorphous diaphragm.

The sound was so real, especially on hands crapping.( I use an Akai GX65 deck to make records with TDK SA chromium tapes from CD).

The 604 is a solid unit. I'm sure I have one in my stash. And you're right, the single AA battery that these run on can last a surprising long time. On this model I always like how the single battery compartment incorporates both AA battery and the gumstick battery sizes.
