Sony CFS-F5S

Hi guys, I was cleaning out the storage room if my late grandparents and found a Sony CFS-F5S. Did a bid of searching online and came across this website.

Condition of it seems pretty good, just needs to be cleaned up and it's missing the radio attenna and the power cord had its plug replaced at some point. Speakers seem like they work great, radio works, cassette tape ejects and "plays". I need to find a tape to test it first.

Is there any value in this system? I'm most likely looking to clean it up a bit and possibly display it in the house but I haven't decided yet.

Thoughts?

Its a desired box but questions about value are usually received with scepticism because sometimes people use that opinion to guage the value and It sends up red flags.

I have this model.
Quite nice but bass shy. Got a few party tricks however like the cassette key cover, an electric ejecting door and the longest aerial I’ve seen on a boombox. Oh and then’ lizard lick’ leds.

I got mine for around £100 but I know a collector that just got one for £60.

I’m not able to anytime soon. The box is in storage elsewhere at the moment.
