if we think about -- that every song ever written -
is somewhat emotional --
then -- there is music appropriate to every feeling and every matter-

today --my 9/11 songs have been--

first -- to 'get real' = kenny loggins " welcome to hard life"

then these 2 -- for a pep talk ::

big mama cass --"sing halleluya"
and elton john -- " im still standin"

as for the box --i am using a nice GE -
--thats the brand that seems to me to be 'most american'

For 9/11, the only one that comes to mind is Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA."

To me, they will always be associated.

One of my favorite live performance(s) was that which was done days after 9/11 by various artists. I believe it is called "AMERICA A Tribute To Heroes". For me, this is one of the best performances done by many of these artists. It was raw and emotional. I've watch the DVD every 9/11, just to remember. My wife can't watch it with me, she breaks into tears every time and leaves the room.

9 november? :huh:

Hi Nicole-I know over there in the netherlands you all read the date from back to front.
Here we start from left to right like 9/11 means September 11th. and not the other way around like you read it over there would be November 9th.I understand your confusion.
Have a great weekend-GB. :-)
