Picked all of these up in the last couple of months - and a couple more in transit. The 931 was a cheap local score and is in incredible condition, and the three Emersons are compliments of Chris. Talk about a giver: I mention in casual conversation that I notice in one of his pics he's got my personal grail (the closest match to what I'd ever fathom finding anyway) and the next thing I know he's offering to GIVE it to me, and then sends me two more as well. Just amazing. You're the best bro! As it turns out, a month later I find the right model I swore I'd never find. Never say never in this business I guess!

The Blockbuster and 920 are from Mel, absolute showpieces. Then there is an interesting looking Goodwill score on top of my first modern box and new favorite, the DJ Boombox. She delivers some sweet sweet vibes.

I've got a couple heavy hitters in dispose at the moment, including a C100F's that's.... Plays great though!

Nice pickups! I gave one of those black Emersons to my niece. Not a bad little unit. Not very loud, or any bass, but decent sound a looks pretty cool.

All of them look great.

Wow, never seen that CTR-955 before. How big is it? And do you have a pic of the back?

It's looking good for the future and I also like the variety you managed to get your hands on.

Looks nice Reli! Once I get around to giving it a good cleaning I'll see if I can get some better pics.
Thanks trippy and Chris :-) You're very observant MoM, I did not notice that until you brought it up but I do seem to own a nice pastiche.
Hey Mystic, that there is a Radio Shack special, a Realistic SCR-35.

Hey Bill it might be, it came with it on there though so I don't know for sure. Did you ever send one to Mel?
Yes I did have a bumpboxx transistorized but I made the tough decision to return it, more box than I can handle at the moment :-)

That Emerson is a pretty piece. I'm going to need therapy or a Boombox Anonymous Session.

Wow, congratulations to me. This is my 100th post.

Nice ones Eric, The Emerson 949 is my personal grail as well since it was my 1st box ever as a snot nosed kid. I've never seen the Emerson 949 with gold writing :-) Glad you like the DJ Tech, I listen to mine quite often lately

I'm glad those Emerson's ended up with the right collector! The 949 has a surprising LOUDNESS kick when you push it. It leaps up in bass and volume like few boxes do, especially for it's size. They also look great in silver. That was my BBQ box for a few years. Every time I fired up the grill, I pulled that radio out from the collection :-D

Will, it's time we had "The Talk".

AND, since we are like you (even though you're a newbie  ) you're stuck with us! :w00t:
BTW, that was fast 100!

Haha Chris :-) He speaks the truth Will! Congrats on 100 posts btw welcome to the madhouse

A couple more... this isn't really a personal grail, but just the first boombox I ever owned. I clearly remember showing dad in '82 the electronics section of the Sears (Wards?) catalog on which boombox he should tell Santa to get me. Well it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted, but I at least had a boombox and that was good enough. Eventually though, once people starting bringing their blasters to school I'd get comments like "I'll give you 20 cents for that!" so I knew I had to save for a better one. Only monobox I plan on owning!

Oh and an H84F. Thanks for the Reel Cleers Ira!
