Hi!

As I am just listening to my VZ 2500 from Sharp, I realize that the tapedeck plays constntly too slow (the slow speed is sonstant so the belts are fine). Does anyone know where to adjust the tape speed there?
It is not very bad so if it is a hard thing to adjust, I will live with it. I tried recording music and it plays slightly faster on other boomboxes...
Photos welcome! :-)

Thanks a lot :-)

the service manual will probably tell you but usually there is a hole on the back of the motor where you can adjust the speed with a small screwdriver

A neat little trick when adjusting tape motor speed, if you don't have the professional tools to do so, is to have a commercial CD and a commercial cassette of the same album. Put the cassette in and try to match the speed of the CD. When you get really sloooooooowwww phasing, you have the speed as close as possible without being exact. :-)

Thanks Fatdog!
The manual says there is a hole in the motor where I can adjust it with a screwdriver.
i am just scared of opening the unit since I am very unexperienced with that kind of stuff...I do not want to ruin it totally :-/
