So i bought my very first boombox at a market off some old fella for $2!!!!!! YEP $2!!!! Anyways tape deck doesnt work but i dont really give a **** and i had to rewire the speakers but everything else is wicked and immaculate best $2 ever spent, Does anyone have any idea what the battery life is on these bad boys??? coz it takes 10 D size batteries. Also if any you guys have any info manuals, specs, wiring schematics, or parts that would be great. Much love to the boombox community...

Welcome to the forum :-D Excellent first box and fantastic bargain! I love mine, not tested battery life tho so can't tell you that. However these are easy to work on and the deck problem is probably belts and/or the notorious gooey capstan rubber, both of which are relatively easy fixes. I did mine as one of my first box repairs and it was pretty easy. I'm sure if you post some pics and tell us what parts youre after you never know someone might have them :-D

Ok, go ahead and rub it in. sheesh $2. Who cares how fast the battery's go.

Seriously, I'm sure the batt's will last a while, I listen to most of my boomers off battery's and they never cease to amaze me at how long the battery life can be with good copper t0ps or energizers.
