what's up to all...today I had a chance to improve on a really sweet box in my collection...when I recieved my 767E it was a total mess but that was a different story ....but in the begining the electronic tweeters were not woking so i decided to put a set of tweeters that I had from a junk 931 lasonic ..After I installed them they were ok but the sound wasn't balanced but by ajusting the treble control it was tolarable so I just left it alone .....Dring the sandy clean up I found a gf 777 in the pile of rubble 
as i stated before that box was a total loss due to the salt water but I did take the tweeter mounts and the tweeters ...I tested them and they worked fine to my amazment the water never got into them 
So today I opened up the box and installed the tweeters in the 767 ...very simple install just used a slightly thicker screw than the originals,because when i mounted the 931 tweeters i had to make my own mounts so the screws were thicker ..... so after a little soldering the tweeters were installed and working...at first listen you could hear such a difference in the box it was the sound I was looking for bright but not harsh just a great sound overall ....so if anyone has any doubt about doing this mod "DON'T EVEN THINK TWICE JUST DO IT"great upgrade overall...just wanted to share this....be well
