sharp gf-575 help. who has pulled one of these apart?

hey all. i just want to re-belt this beast but can not figure out how to remove the case!
it seems that it is stuck at the end which has a the tuner dial. i don't want toforce it but it seems like something needs to be done.
does the tuner have to be removed? what am i missing?

after reading some other sharp threads, i suspect that there is another screw under the tuning dial. the 'fine tuning' dial feels as though it may be removable. is the other screw i need to remove under here?

it's not under the tuning dial have you removed the sliders from the front and the tuner dial knob must be removed!! also screw in the battery compartment 9 screws in all hope it helps

thanks for the reply saxonman.
i have removed all of those. i just thought it may be the tuning dial seeing as it is pretty stuck at that end of the box. the other end comes away very easily.
maybe it just needs a bit of roughness...
hmmmm. i realise you say the tuning knob has to be removed. how is this done? it seems pretty tight!

BIG hint for people attemtping to get the tuner dial off the 575.
i tried to pull it up as much as i could with my hands until it got to the point where i could thread a shoe lace under the tuner.
then it was a matter of simply pulling it upwards.

i am out of my league and now have an open box with parts everywhere.
