Had an idea
Ok i have lost the postage $130 and to return probably more than that
But I dont want him to end up with it
I would like it if someone here got it
If someone will pay me $130+ shipping cost to ship from Illinois
you get what was a $430 box for less than $200
worth it for parts

Is that buyer willing to ship that radio? If we pay you, do we know he will send it?

yes im still thinking this threw
Well if he doesn't send he doesn't get the refund
I have been reading the rules still all new to me too
I give refund after receiving the box
im not going to screw someone here
I would not ask for money until the box arrives if that helps
But yes the other problem i can see is that he refuses to send to different address
Maybe its all too much
But if we could work out a system it could help others in this type of situation

It should all work out fine if he will ship the radio to a different address. We all trust you will come through, don't worry about that. Someone like baddboybill would be closer and maybe could pick it up. Even if Bill doesn't want it, maybe he could still arrange pickup to get it into safe hands.

I'm off work today. I will pick it up for you. I'll hold it at my house, check for repairs, and you can sell it and I will ship it for you.

Wow, Boomboxery to the rescue!! Awesome stuff Fuz!!

James.... :-)

P.S This new EBay rule has given buyers who experience buyers remorse a perfect opportunity to get their money back just like when buying something new. They will however, have to partially destroy/disable the box to justify to the seller that they deserve a refund. No way I'm selling any working box of mine on EBay - no way!!

I now accepted the refund
I will try to mail him
About the pick up or address change
Ah cant accept until i send shipping label
ah just got confirmation
have a few days to work this out

Hi nikonfoo,
You accepted a return for Sharp 9000 Japanese GF-535 Boombox Vintage all working.
Your next step is to send a return shipping label by Oct 29, 2015. If you've already purchased a label, upload the label for the buyer or add tracking details, so we can follow the package in case it gets lost.
If the buyer doesn't receive a label by Oct 29, 2015, they can ask us to step in and help.
Doesnt seem there is any rule on the return address as i send a paid label

OMG just got this games are starting now
I asked you refund half the cost of what I paid for a boombox to cover the cost of repairs and after repair, I can send you a receipt. In post office can only go on Saturday because I work the same time. Thank you.
Yea english is a little hard to work out always he mixes of past and present in his mails
but first time for me to see any mention of this
Shiat this guy is playing games

Basically he is saying he is at work when the post office is open during the week.

Good luck.

After a return label is generated, eBay monitors the tracking number. He has less than 1-week to ship it or risks losing the refund. I know I only had a small window to return when this happened to me.

Just like I said in original "sad e bay story" thread, he's trying to keep the box AND get refund to have it "repaired".. But, it's not really broken!

nikonfoo

but now he also is willing to take half the money to keep the box
its 50% of time
Its a scam
but I will play along a little more to see what he wants
so yea the box it's not really broke yet
Seller beware

he can still negotiate after you've accepted the return request? I didn't think their system allowed that.

He escalated a claim on eBay as a way to intimidate you, and because of the high cost of return shipping..is hoping you will give in to his demands.. I can tell this user has been running the same scam for a while..
