Jovie you have finally done it. Your posts are always eloquent and well versed to get across the point intelligently.

But for this one, the first one ever, I'm left with one response...WTF?!?!? It must be a slow night in Jovie Land to think this deep about this mannequin.  (And surely you aren't a fan of that thespian screen disaster. )

Probably nothing bizarre going on. I used a head like that to show the realtive size of a pair of radio-headphones. Maybe size is why this seller uses them next to his items. I think those heads are for beauticians studying hairstyles.

I always thought it was just a prop that he/she used, like it was his/her signature... You saw the head and knew who the seller was... Also could help in the prevention of picture thieves looking to re-post his/her boxes in their auctions.

To kill all this speculation, you could always send him/her a message via eBay to find out the story behind the mannequin head.

I would tend to agree with that speculation Monolithic.I've always thought it was a unique "signature" of sorts.I for one like anything unique and unusual. It doesn't even necessarily have to make any sense.Honestly,I was just having a little fun with the concept. He just listed a Sanyo mini from the mid 80s and there's no head in the picture :-/ .Now I'm missing the head
