Sorry if this has been asked before, but what are they?

I have a box which has them, what's the difference with other buttons?

Thanks guys!

The 5250 is a cracking box,you will snatch a 5500 soon enough they come up often enough☺not so sure about the servo buttons but I do like the ones on my Philips deck they engage nicely and are feather touch operated.

Yes but what are they? Why are they servo buttons, instead of just 'buttons'? Whats the difference?

I am not 100% sure but I think it's because they are run by a motor as opposed to a mechanical operation as on standard decks. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong☺the deck on mine is a 3 motor logic controlled rs servo deck.

its complicated.in a nutshell its just a smoother way of engaging the deck functions as apposed to the older, more clunky, chunky way that mechanical decks operate.servo decks are considered superior too as apposed to the mechanical decks, but in my experience when they go wrong they are way harder to fix
az is right about the servo deck on the d8614-one of the nicest to use imho-i love the way the buttons engage with the pleasing sound of the motor....erm...whirring to engage.great sound
