After spending 30 years stored in the loft my S-4800 doesn't sound great. I am considering recapping it. In order to get the main board right out I need to get the chassis out. I can only find 2 screws holding it in but it wont budge. Member MKF managed it but its not obvious from the photos how he did it. I know these are quite rare but can anyone help ?

It's almost certainly going to be more than 2 screws holding the chassis in. Sometimes they are hard to find. Also, most chassis require you to eject the cassette door in order to remove because the door latch often locks the chassis in place.

Solved ! In the 43 years I have had this set I have never looked underneath. There are screws on the bottom.
