Hi

Recently found a Trk-9150e for a very low price at a second hand store. Everything except the casette deck and bulbs was working. I ordered replacements belts on eBay from DeckTech. Ive now cleaned all old funk and replaced the belts, but the motor cant barely spin when attached to the mechanics. The mechanics itself without the big belt spins just fine and is cleaned and lubed. And the motor also spins fine with the belt not attached. Do anyone know if decktech is good quality or could the belts be to tight? The motor be worn out?

Would really appreciate some help.

Sorry if my english isnt the best. Im a swede

Never heard of decktech. Also without actually inspecting myself, it's hard to comment on what could be the issue. You should ensure that the belt routing is correct, and also you should check rotational force required to spin the assembly where the belt normally attaches to. If the motor is worn out, it usually makes lots of noise. You can check to see if the motor has decent torque by feeling the pulley and see. That's not a scientific method but if the motor is totally worn out, it will probably stop with the slightest load, and probably will squeak and the shaft feel loose. Or. The motor itself may need it's speed adjusted, especially if the belt is too tight. If you are sure that nothing else is wrong, you can try to increase the motor speed by adjusting the speed control. Look at the back of the motor. If there is a small rubber shrouded hole, you may be able to insert a tiny jewelers flat screwdriver and adjust it. However, be careful with that adjustment, the tiny pot is not designed for lots of motion, and it breaks easily. Also you may wish to measure the voltage to the motor to ensure that the circuit itself is supply enough power to the motor. Some motors run through fusible resistors that have changed values.

Big Thank you for the answer.
Belt routing is correct.
Rotational force to spin the system is nearly nothing.
Hard to explain but if i pinch the motor very slightly between my fingers it spins but sky harder Will stop it, i have nothing to compare to. Will do the other checks and we will see. DeckTech will send med larger belts to, so Will try that also.

Would also appreciate if someone have replacement led recomendation instead of the original bulbs? Original part no: 5762281.

Thank you again!
