A friend of mine spotted this one at the storage of the posh record studio. The musician dudes where using the boomer for some years in the break room , but somebody needed a glass for some tape deck door and cannibalized the poor 920, another twat cannibalized the screws..... Anyway i was sort "must save it" and asked for the price. The posh "im sort of a star" idiot played cool ( in his own eyes ) - " this one is quite expensive and is not for your wallet" . Anyway the long story shortly - i went mad on him and payed ( sort of high ) the price and just got it home.
No idea why i bought it , and what will be the future of this one. Deck dead, lot of static from the dust, lot f dirt to be cleaned and so on. But deffo a good save. Feeling like boomerguard now  .
Anyway - here it is. Its not black and have no LEDs sadly  . Its my second 920 catch so i believe more will come :santa: .

Deck door and screws are easily sorted, static and dirt easy too! Didn't have to rebelt mine so don't know how dificult that its. Looks really good on my pc screen though!...very nice indeed! And who could resist a 920 in the wild?!!

My only complaints is why is it since I bought one last month thinking its fairly rare has everyone been getting one! lol! ;) :)

Great score. This one has the white tuner dial, which I think is nicer than the black dial. Good luck with the restoration.

The dial is silver. My first one was L version i think, but cannot remember is that the main diffo between K and L.
It is not bad resto project indeed , but will not be made from me. Im just into black boomers :-) . Think will pass it to another collector. Or will part it maybe ( small chance, because indeed is not so hard to be restored).
Lately im so busy and dont have time to bother with silver boomers at all  .

Tony, the black dialed version has a green lighted dial. The dial markings are actually printed onto an acrylic dial that sits in front of the black backing plate. Does this silver one also come with a lighted dial, and if so, what does it look like? Does it also have a silkscreen printed acrylic dial? I'm really curious. If it is indeed lighted, a picture would be super.

My silver dial version also has a green light. Looks like the markings are printed directly on the silver but I might be wrong. Looks very nice I reckon :)

Yea it is with green light as well and same knob, which can be switched permanently on

Ok, but does the light travel across an acrylic plate, or does the light shine directly onto the silver dial?
