Fantastic box, hope you can get it sorted. That subwoofer inside the horn allegedly makes 26W!

Agree, it’s some piece of kit. I have it in pieces now and the bass uses one active and one passive. The active is a 4” 6 ohm 16w speaker.

Yeh I remember seeing them on the loading tray when I serviced it. All functions are working, just waiting to repair the speaker and put the beast back together.

Please take lots of pics. I've always wondered what's inside that tube and how it works. Where does the passive get its energy, from the left main speaker?

I don't know but it looks to me like the 3D bass horn section is completely isolated from the rest of the boombox and that it has regular drivers mounted to the front.

Yeah it does look isolated, so the passive gets powered by the one on the right when you twist open the little valve thing

Exactly this.
The speaker on the right hand side is powered from the main board and sits in a deep(ish) plastic container. The passive is on the left and only reveives air through the tube depending on how much the air gap is opened by the twist adapter. It also sits in a shallower container than the speaker.

It has about twice the power of a Conion C126, because it has two of those LA4508 amp chips. One for the sub and another for the front speakers.
