Hi All,
Just received a Sanyo M9998 that has seen better days. It has a snapped Record Bitton (the left most tape button).
Hoping these can be individually replaced.
If so, does anybody have a spare they could provide me?
Thanks in advance, JT
Actually, might also need the rewind button next to it too as it just flicks up and down loosely without engaging on anything inside. I will take it apart and have a proper look soon in case something more serious inside that has broken. But here is the unit before I strip it down and clean it up - just a small project (as heard these are a bag of wires inside and so tricky to dismantle ... but I am not in a rush ).

M9888 is one of the most difficult to work on. Take lots of pictures when you unplug wires. Careful to push and lock the top power button and another one in place before you remove the chassis. They are easy to break.
I might have one! I need to hunt for it. Yes it can be individually replaced. A little tricky to remove the straight steel pin that hold all of those buttons. I remember bending a part and pulling that pin out.
I will look for it and will ship it you for free!
Please accept as a gift!

Thanks for the tips and also the offer of a gift button - very much appreciated - very kind of you - I'm in UK if you need me to pay towards (i.e. if long distance)
