Just had to perform surgery on my Quasar GX-3612.

It hadn't been used in a while. W/F so bad I had to replace its belt and dial in motor speed.

If I played it more I probably could've bought myself more time with that old belt. The older the rubber gets, the more "memory" it has.

While in there, I noticed the plastic motor drive wheel had cracked due to the plastic shrinking on the motor shaft. I found a spare that would work and we're back in business.

Time waits for no one. Your radio is going to degrade over time whether you use it or not.

Might as well use it 8-)
