Ive always said that with a little imagination and thinking outside of the box the ULTIMATE boombox with amazing power, bass and and a really wide frequency response (hitting even below 20hz) could be built. In the link below, imagine that rotary subwoofer with a speaker cabinet on each side and a handle to carry the now 3-piece boombox. Manufactures if u are reading this, let's start thinking bigger. I'd be the first one to buy such a box.

I should change the title of this thread to IMAGINING THE ULTIMATE BOOMBOX but I don't know how. Any way, I want to share this awesome subwoofer by bob Carver - the sub rosa. With slight modifications, this would be PERFECT in creating the ultimate boombox. Check out the review and the video

I'm imagining a mid driver and a tweeter in each side, and a screen the size of an iPad mini that raises from the top panel (think the navigation screen in ssome Cadillacs). Remember the Panasonic eggs with the flip up motorized panel that opened when u waved your hand in from of it? GETTING GOOSE BUMPS RIGHT NOW. ID BUY THIS THING IN A HEART BEAT, NO MATTER THE COST.

I have that RX DT95! I love it! Not many people know how good they are.

I just realized u said dt95 and not dt75. How'd u get ur hands in that? Congrats man!!
That was pure luck to have it. A friend of mine said he has a boombox that he don't want to carry around and was not using for a long time. He said it is taking lots of space in his closet. I went and saw it and started to drool. It had a remote that was in a plastic cover that he never used. He sold it for a good price.

I haven't seen another DT95 for sale anywhere.

I'm not sure but think DT95 is the flagship with all goodies! Alarm will wake you up cobra top opening and playing the radio/cassette/CD you want. Also plays music when you pass near the unit with motion sensor. It is a very wide unit with 6 speakers, double cassette, music line in, CD player and all.

I got trade offers for a Japanese C100 and some high end units, but cannot give DT95 away.
