Well here's one method i just used on my old scope - wired in a magnetic reed switch instead. In this case the x10 mag was kaput, but no more with the wave of a magnet near the case. It's a bit bonkers as the reed switch activates another electromagnetic reed relay already on the board to activate the circuitry. I mean...
