Hi, I'm new to the Boomboxery.

I just recently just got my first Boombox, JVC RC-M70.
I was wondering are you able to record music from your Mp3 player, into Cassette?

Thanks

welcome to this wonderful site ,, yes the m70 has line-in and you are able to adjust the overall volume to your recording if so inclined as it had recording volume feature

This is true. In some cases the M70 has a DIN line-in, in which case you'll need an adapter.

Also (assuming your deck is well in spec) the M70's tape deck is a really good one. One of the best in a boombox, IMHO. It is capable of surprisingly good quality recordings for a boombox. Use a good quality tape and watch to make sure your VU meters don't peak past +3 (or +5 if using a metal tape) and you will shoud end up with distortion-free good quaity recordings.

Welcome to the site... Good luck and let us know how it goes...

After a week of trial and error.I used normal bias TDK D60 tapes.

I was able to record a decent cassette Album of Bob Marley - Legend.

The sound quality is perfect.

Thanks Everyone :-)
