Sorry for chiming it late, but I spoke with You just hours before You went to get it (and Pre-Dibbed ;-) ). As I said before, It's the history that makes it so special. That makes it priceless. Congratulations Jimmy.

Its one thing to get a box from your childhood....but to get THE ACTUAL box is a whole nother story. Very cool, jimmy.

Good evening all...After a tear down I'm glad to say this old box is working again  someday I would like to bring to my tech and get the volume pot repaired it has a dead spot about half way up but that's to be expected from sitting in the same spot for so long .It does work so at this time i'm just going to use it...took both decks apart cleaned all the tires. .and belts were in great shape so I didn't replace them...the cassette key and all the knobs and swithch covers were replaced from my doner box that I found in the flood from hurricane sandy...the only thing I painted was the grills they came out great used 3 coats of base color then 3 coats f clear they now have factory finish...I was able to get this unit to play on batterys again so it's not going to stay indoors ....also this project is not complete without a set of fatdog's labels :breakdance: :breakdance: here are the pics enjoy....
