Hi all,I've been enjoying my Sanyo M9994's lately as I've almost restored
the 2!

I just need antennas and a big tuning knob,I have a small fine tuning
knob from a K model but my other is all complete except antennas.

Really love these,1 has a fully working deck and original green
dial light and just sounds wicked, clear, and loud!!

My other has a red dial light that lights up with the stereo light!! :-O
This one has a remarkable tuner-very strong and insanely loud!!
As Norm says:The 9994 is a professional Boombox!! :surf:

Just love the quality and clarity that comes from these, very nice!! :-)

I'm going to mod the dial light on that red one within a couple of months,
I like it but it needs to be brighter and I want to light up those
bottom VU's also.
This unit just needs belts, all cleaned and ready for belts and then this
one is 100% go!

It's remarkable what a strong station and some volume and that mid-tone
button can do plus the wide feature=Super loud, running 3-4 watts per channel
at only 6 on the volume!! Me like!!!!!!!!! :choco: :surf:    :-D :stereo:

I agree. The 9994 is a pro box, and yes I M going to finally admit that it has replaced the m-x720k as my new favorite.

I have had my sights set on a 9994 for a while now. I see myself acquiring one this year. I have a M9990 that I love for many reasons, but I am ready for a 9994. I plan on getting the 3-Speaker TDK for myself for Christmas. But the next classic has to be a 9994. I love the size, too. They seem to run right at the max for my "Box Budget," so I'll have to plan accordingly.
So many boxes, such little dough.

Probably the best build quality of any box, except for maybe the RX-7700.
Great no-bull stying. Not a street box at all....Not enough B.S. chrome or lights on it......Function over form.
AWESOME dust caps.
AWESOME knobs & switches.
I don't think the tuner pulls in as many stations as a JVC or Panasonic though.

This is now on "THE LIST"....When I started collecting it was based on what I remembered from the 80's and then it was based on what my eye's liked.....but now....it's about RECOMMENDATIONS! I have bought so many radio's because members here have said "Dude, that thing Rocks"

Now I need a M99994.....let me guess....they just went up $400 :dunce:

I always call it the box the Army would use

They used to go for $500-600, but recently there's been a glut on Ebay, so they've dropped to 250-300.

If it's mint though, watch out. :-O

I was lucky enough to get a mint one last year, with microphones, for $275 shipped, because I called and made him an offer on the Thanksgiving weekend when most people weren't paying attention.
