question regarding sharp gf 9494

there is a model which has written 13w on the front and another one which says 22w
the question is, is the one with 22w really that much stronger?
any help welcome

I believe it is the same even though they were labeled different. Same situation goes for the Sharp 777Z vs. 777H. Z is labeled with a higher wattage for some reason.

It's just the way they measured the output of the amp, the larger number is peak output while the smaller number is continuous output but it's still the same amp.

I believe the 22W model is the GF-9494X. It is the one with the chrome woofer caps. Is it that much more powerful? I don't know. :-/

Now I'm not so sure about the ratings, my manual for the basic 9494 with no letter designation states 4 watts per channel RMS at 10% distortion. :hmmm: They all have 35 watt power supplies and I believe the amps are the same it's just the way they were rated, maybe because of the countries they were intended for. :hmmm:

I got one I'm looking to shift if you're still interested . . . .

it needs a pair of original aerials - but is complete other than that
and all works!
