The "Fakies" post reminded me of this story:
I used to live in a bad area, and my car doors wouldnt lock. I had a decent cassette/car radio, and I didnt want to lose it.
The solution was simple, I took a broken cassette tape, pulled the tape out and wrapped it loosly around the cassette in a huge ball. When parked, I would shove the cassette in the slot, with the tape left dangling out of the radio.
Half a year later, things were taken out of the car, but no one ever touched that radio.
