Let's go retro with this SPH-140.

But, is it REALLY a boombox? Only YOU can decide.
1. It uses batteries or AC (see bottom photo)..
2. It's portable (the handle proves it, altho its size makes it awkward to carry).
3. It has a 4-band radio.
4. It's pre-cassette (8-track, too) (which explains the phono).

I don't think they were every in Canada. At least not in Toronto. Don't even remember seeing "Crown's" in stereo stores when I was kid

I really love these Crown's! The one with the green tinted 'glass was made in early 1981, while the one with clear 'glass was made in early 1982. There are subtle differences in the LED's also. Great sounding boxes.
