here is some cheapo gear --

a 3x optical zoom camera --looking thru a $50 buck zoom telescope --
mounted on a tripod -

first shot is wide angler
second is at 3X
third is at 3X thru the 8X scope

the scope -- zooms to 24x !!!-
but a more solid tripod mount is required

anyway -

the deal is/was ..........
that my friend owned that direct oceanview land for 15 years -
he planned to build a 'normal' home there-

but then our town ' sold-out' $$$ ..
and rezoned the lot in front of him for a big CONDO !!!!! :'-(

so he. in turn, got pissed -- and built that tower house -
now he can see way over the condo --out to the atlantic

That's a cool prototype...not very "esthetically" discreet but cool none the less

every camera has a different lens height centerpoint --
and then --their threads for the tripod mounts are in all different
left/right & back/forth locations --

so until -- the exact ONE camera to use is decided-
the rig needs to have every possible 3 dimensional adjustment

after that --i can make it look 'factory'
