OK. It's not really my style, but I couldn't walk away from this thing with it's original box and manual. I don't intend to keep it (honestly, I'm trying to put a couple of bucks in my pocket), but I do want to go through it and get it straight. The CD and tuner work flawlessly. The decks have the typical issues (cleaning, lube, belts, etc.), but Deck 1 will play a tape. I've gotta say, I'm surprised at the pounding this thing provides. That XBS pot is not just there to look pretty. It's also got some spots on it from what appears to be splatter from PineSol - sure smells like it, at least! I wanted to open it up, but my long Phillips is at work, so I just gave it an initial wipe-down for the crappy phone pics.
I'm a little distracred right now, as it pounds "Release Yo' Delph" on Method Man's Tical. :stereo:

Got it from the original owner (who is a bonafied Audiophile). Original box, manual, and it even has the original deck door stickies! I can scan them if anyone wants.
Thoughts?

The crickets have chirped....
I decided to ship this to my Mom in FL. She has a little Wal-Mart egg on the lanai that sounds like the speaker on my iPhone (she says she hates it, but it serves a purpose). I called her to tell her I was sending it and she is very excited. Apparently, this box has the face only a mother could love.
Should be an excellent patio radio for her (and me :-D ).

I have a like new RX-DT680 with remote. I was surprised with the quality of sound. It is a keeper for sure! :-O
M90 will pee in his pants and many of our high end boomers.
These models are so unique! Best sounding machines of the 90s but were from the fall of the boommbox era!

It definitely sounds awesome. She's in for a real treat, especially considering the egg she and her husband have been suffering with for the last several months. When she asked what to do with the old one, I told her, "Give it to the neighbor kids or put it on the curb."
These really were the "Blaster's Last Stand."
