Been a while since i last bought a boombox.. Summer was great! Just hanging out, listening to blasters and skateboarding. But then summer came to the end and i started getting the collecting itch back again.. 
I was looking local auction sites for bboxes and found few candidates but nothing special. Then i noticed an ad for a Panasonic blaster. Pictures were bad, but the box was RX-5600 and i was intrigued. Panny was located in my town and i immediately called him up and set a meet. When i got there, i had to try to hide my jaw as it was laying on the floor. I have been ogling for that model for years now, but now it was in front of me.
We started testing the box. Cassette deck, VU's and radio worked, but the sound was weak, aerial was broken and it had few pen marks near tuner glass etc. So it wasnt a minty frest boombox, but good enough for me! A little haggling and i left with the box and the seller was 25€ richer.
Got to my house and after i opened it for a quick cleanup and deoxit, the Panny was working just fine
All the pen marks were just from a regural graphite pencil, not a marker or something like that. So it was easy to clean!
I have to do a thruout cleaning later and maby paint the speaker grills black again, but now i just want to listen to the box
